Flowers are my first love, especially wildflowers—delicate stems carrying small yet striking blooms. I painted them for years, stepped away for years, and always returned, searching for the right way to celebrate their beauty. I draw inspiration from a collection of floral photographers and designers, using their work to explore rare and delicate varieties while weaving in memories of the wildflowers from my childhood.
My goal is to create beauty with depth—using line to suggest structure and paint to emphasize each flower’s most delicate qualities. The arrangements remain open and expansive, filled with light and air, symbolizing hope and gratitude. Ultimately, my work is a celebration of something beyond our own imagination: the extraordinary beauty of nature.
