Current works at FLORA
Raised on a small farm in Alabama, Kellie's lifelong connection to nature continues to shape her artistic perspective. A self-described "forever student and teacher" of art and life, she studied extensively at Troy University and later traveled throughout the Southeast teaching thousands of aspiring artist. Along the way, she gained a deep appreciation for the many ways artist approach their craft- an influence that continues to inform her own balance of technical structure, experimentation, and creative freedom. Early in her career, she was invited to teach through a professional paint company that recognized her talents as both an educator and working artist. The company sponsored her classes and personal artistic practice, supplying the professional-grade paints used in both her teaching and studio work. These experiences reinforced her belief that artistic expression can be both disciplined and intruitive, and structured yet free- an approach that continues to define her studio practice today.
Her work has attracted collectors, designers, and curators across the country. Featured through Artspace Warehouse in Los Angeles and at the Affordable Art Fair in Austin, Boston, and New York, her paintings have reached audiences nationwide and internationally. Original works have been leased for major television and film productions, including projects distributed through Netflix, while national retailers have licensed her artwork for home decor and interior design collections.
In addition to her studio practice, Kellie frequently collaborates with interior designers and creative professionals to curate thoughtful visual experiences for residential, hospitality, retail, and commercial spaces. Her work can be found in private collections and thoughtfully designed environments throughout the United States.
Through expressive layers of color, texture, and line, New some transforms fleeting moments into lasting visuals experiences that celebrate nature, envoke emotion, and invite viewers to find beauty in the everyday.
